Five Books To Read This Summer

In my early twenties, I discovered I really enjoyed reading. I fell in love with the feel of paper and the addicting smell of a freshly purchased book. I loved getting lost in stories, escaping life, for just a bit. Back then my books of choice looked a lot different from my current go to's. Maybe because I'm in the era of entering a new decade..Indulging into self growth and gratitude. Whatever the case.. thats the thing I love most about reading.. there is something for everyone. Every season. Every age.

I've gathered up my five favorite books to read this summer. Each a little different...a few for emerging yourself in self growth. One, a thriller perfect for escaping reality and lastly my favorite gut healthy cookbook loaded with vital information. Alright, babes.. here they are....

Girl, Wash your face
First and foremost, do you know the author Rachel Hollis? if not, YOU SHOULD. I'm basically obsessed with everything she says.. She's all about breaking common stigmas, stereo types and being the best version of yourself. Basically, Racheal rocks and you should 1000% read her books! The first two books listed are hers.

synopsis: Now, in this challenging and inspiring new book, Rachel exposes the twenty lies and misconceptions that too often hold us back from living joyfully and productively, lies we’ve told ourselves so often we don’t even hear them anymore.
With painful honesty and fearless humor, Rachel unpacks and examines the falsehoods that once left her feeling overwhelmed and unworthy, and reveals the specific practical strategies that helped her move past them. In the process, she encourages, entertains, and even kicks a little butt, all to convince you to do whatever it takes to get real and become the joyous, confident woman you were meant to be.
With unflinching faith and rock-hard tenacity, Girl, Wash Your Face shows you how to live with passion and hustle--and how to give yourself grace without giving up.

Girl, Stop Apologizing
Ok, babes. Current read and I am OBSESSED! SO SO good!

synopsis: Stop Apologizing, #1 New York Times bestselling author and founder of a multimillion-dollar media company, Rachel Hollis sounds a wake-up call. She knows that many women have been taught to define themselves in light of other people—whether as wife, mother, daughter, or employee—instead of learning how to own who they are and what they want. With a challenge to women everywhere to stop talking themselves out of their dreams, Hollis identifies the excuses to let go of, the behaviors to adopt, and the skills to acquire on the path to growth, confidence, and believing in yourself.

YOU are a Badass
This was my first "self help" book and it may sound totally cheesy but this book changed my freakin life. Total eye opener and definitely a must read.
synopsis: this refreshingly entertaining how-to guide, bestselling author and world-traveling success coach, Jen Sincero, serves up 27 bitesized chapters full of hilariously inspiring stories, sage advice, easy exercises, and the occasional swear word, helping you to: Identify and change the self-sabotaging beliefs and behaviors that stop you from getting what you want, Create a life you totally love. And create it NOW, Make some damn money already. The kind you've never made before.
By the end of You Are a Badass, you'll understand why you are how you are, how to love what you can't change, how to change what you don't love, and how to use The Force to kick some serious ass.

The Couple NextDoor
Who doesn't love a good thriller to escape the chaos of life? Trust me you'll love this one.

synopsis: domestic suspense debut about a young couple and their apparently friendly neighbors—a twisty, rollercoaster ride of lies, betrayal, and the secrets between husbands and wives. . .

Anne and Marco Conti seem to have it all—a loving relationship, a wonderful home, and their beautiful baby, Cora. But one night, when they are at a dinner party next door, a terrible crime is committed. Suspicion immediately lands on the parents. But the truth is a much more complicated story.

Inside the curtained house, an unsettling account of what actually happened unfolds. Detective Rasbach knows that the panicked couple is hiding something. Both Anne and Marco soon discover that the other is keeping secrets, secrets they've kept for years.

What follows is the nerve-racking unraveling of a family—a chilling tale of  deception, duplicity, and unfaithfulness that will keep you breathless until the final shocking twist.

The Healthy Gut cookbook
This was my first gut healthy cookbook and I was blown away with the yummy and easy recipes BUT thats not all babes, this book is packed with tons of great information!

synopsis:  Healthy Gut, Happier You Your gut contains about 100 trillion microorganisms, including about 400 different species of bacteria. The complex ways in which these organisms interact can play a very large role in how the average person feels. An unhealthy gut can manifest itself in many different ways, from heartburn and constipation to irritable bowel syndrome and possibly even autoimmune diseases. In The Healthy Gut Cookbook, you will discover common-sense ways to avoid many modern habits-from consuming too much sugar and processed foods-that can lead to an unbalanced gut.
