Flashback - Camden's first birthday.

As Camden’s second birthday approaches I can’t help but to reminisce. How in the heck is my baby going to be TWO? My last babe is two. I cannot believe it. Anyone else feel the same way about your last babe or is it just me?

Wellll like I said as his birthday is just around the corner and I’m knee deep in party planning for his sports themed party. I wanted to share some deets from his first birthday. Which was a Where the wild things are // Wild One themed party.

 Party Details:

We hosted Cam's first birthday at our previous home. We invited all our families + friends to attend. Rented a bounce house  to entertain all the wild things and ordered an awesome custom cake. I truly love throwing parties. There is just something about being able to bring an idea to life and sharing with your inner circle.

Entry to the party.

I actually found this door idea on Pinterest. It was super simple to make. I just cut up a diaper box and painted Where the Wild things are along with a golden yellow crown with a 1 inside. This was fairly easy and trust me I do not have good hand writing. The good part about this theme is it isn't supposed to be perfect.

His crown + pants are from Amazon!

Entry table.

When you first entered our home and went through the foyer we set up a welcome table. This is where we had goodie bags, a chalk board sign custom to Cam, Where the wild things are book for our guest who to sign, 1-11 month photos of him and some fun little decor pieces. A lot of the items were purchased at Hobby Lobby, Etsy and some pieces like the signs and picture frame were borrowed thanks to two awesome friends.

Food, Drinks & Cake.

We went simple. We decided to serve pinwheels, sandwiches, homemade cold pasta along with home made dip. The party was hosted in the early afternoon so we wanted to serve a light lunch.  A good friend of mine made the water bottle labels for me. Which were a total hit! Lets also just talk about..

THE CAKE + CUPCAKES,

Our cake lady is the bomb. She brought my total vision to life and to top it off the cake was delicious! The kids couldn't get over the monster cupcakes. Definitely a totally hit.

Cake smash at home.

Highchair banner + cake topper were ordered off of Esty.

We really had so much fun planning, setting up and enjoying Camden's special day with all our families and friends.
