Turkey + Coffee And A Thrill Of A Deal

Black Friday is just around the corner.. can you even believe that? Black Friday isn’t just the day after Thanksgiving anymore... it’s morphed into more of a Black Friday week. Am I right? The deals usually kick off the weekend before Thanksgiving and excitingly run alllll week. Which means tons of deals + savings. Hooray!

Many people will opt to shop from home.  However, if you’re like me.. I like to head straight into the thick of things. For me, Black Friday shopping has become more tradition then anything else. I love scrolling through the ads, planning which stores we’re going to hit up first, the excitement, the high of saving and if we’re lucky.. scoring a must have item. All of it.

The last few years my husband and I have turned Black Friday into a fun date night. We drop our kids off with grandma, fill our yetis (wink wink) and head off into a romantic night strolling down aisles.

To help you better prepare for your shopping trip, I’m sharing some things with you that I've learned along the way!

HAVE A LIST
I’m a natural born list maker. List's are my jam. Gather up a list of items you think your kids, spouse, parents or whomever you’re shopping for will love/want. After you’ve gathered a list then time to check the ads! See anything on their list that’s on sale? Mark it!

REVIEW THE ADS AND COMPARE PRICES BEFORE YOU SHOP
Luckily for us stores put their ads out in advance. This gives us plenty of time to price compare. This also gives you a glimpse into what is going to be on sale + doorbusters. To keep it simple, I usually just circle the items we want to grab in the ad booklet and bring it with us.

PLAN YOUR SHOPPING TRIP
Now that you have a list (or a few), compared prices now it's time to get it together and make a plan. What stores are you going to hit up first? Which are top priority? Who's doors open first? Which store has the best doorbusters?

KNOW THAT YOU MIGHT NOT GET YOUR DEAL
Can’t win em’ all. Scoring is a rush but be mindful that it just might not work out. Chin up babe, you’ve got more items on your list #thankyounext

LEAVE THE KIDS BEHIND
Drop off with grandma and say “see ya laters!” This is a perfect excuse to turn Black Friday into a fun girls night or date night with the hubs!
