Farmhouse inspired dining room facelift.

They say the dinner table is the heart of the home, I wholeheartedly believe this. Even more so since having children of my own. I find the dinner table to be comforting. A place where your loved ones come to gather.

When we were building this home, we took a lot of the free options (mostly light fixtures). Our thought was we could really get what we wanted after we closed and not pay an arm and a leg for them. Well 6 months into owning our home (whoa that went by fast?) Our dinning area still had not been touched. That awful free, it will do for now fixture still hung. The space was bare. This spaced lacked warmth and a feeling of home.

Out of the blue, I had enough. I told my husband we HAD to change the dinning area. It was over due. I went ahead and ordered this gorgeous light fixture from wayfair. I ordered the white simple linen curtains from Ikea (of all places) and most importantly the industrial curtain rod from Target. All of these upgrades together cost us right around $200.

(this space was hard to photograph as we have so much natural light. Basically our entire back wall is windows. Absolutely gorgeous because who doesn't love natural light but awful to capture.
