Tips + Tricks for Road Trippin with Kids.

I've always been a fan of traveling and having children never hindered me from doing so. I love traveling, showing my kids different areas + sharing experiences together! When my daughter was an only child it was nothing to hop on a plane. Now that I have two active toddlers it isn't as easy. Therefor, we have opt for road trippin it in stead of flying. As I starting thinking about our up coming trip, I thought to myself.. "hmm this might be a little harder now that they are older." It has been about a year since our last long road trip. So here is what I've come up with to make my road trip experience a little more enjoyable with two toddlers!

At a quick glance. 

* Tablets

* Books

* Small toys

* Snacks

* Art supplies 

* Surprise toy

* Portable DVD player

* Blankets + pillows

* Suction cups for car windows for small toys + water

* Leave in the evening or around bed time.

I ran out to Target to grab a portable DVD player to avoid fighting over the iPad. While I was there, I picked up some grab & go play packs along with some car friendly art supplies. All of which were located in Targets $ spot. I grabbed each of my kiddos a new surprise toy just for our trip. My thought be hide that was.. It will get them excited + keep them busy for awhile.

When I got home, I gathered some of their books together. The plan is to put all this together in a cube cubby. I'm going to put the cube in between them in the car. (see below)

Snack Tip

Be mindful at the grocery store before your trip. Do not over buy. Also purchase snacks your kiddos love, things they may not get to enjoy often (candy) and easy toddler friendly snacks. I also do not pack a lot of drinks. I'm packing my kiddos their thermo cups with water.

Toy Tip.

Use any small bag ( I used a soft lunch box) and fill it with toys you have not seen your kids play with in a while. This will get them excited. Smaller toys travel better!
